Update Time!

Below are some happenings from the last three months:

Platte graduated from the Sandra Day O'Connor School of Law (ASU)! What a relief!

My little brother, Adam, got married! His wife Kristina is awesome!

We found out we are having a BOY!

We moved home to Utah! We left behind a lot of friends in Arizona that we will miss.

We have spent hours playing with family and friends. Belle has become a pro at naming all of her 21 cousins, 12 aunts, and 10 uncles!

We spent the 4th of July in Blanding and attended Platte's 10 year reunion while we were there.

We have had so much fun swimming, playing at parks, going to sports events, going to Lagoon, and simply being with our families. We are so happy to be home!

A few of Platte's siblings were able to come down to Arizona for Platte's graduation. (My parents were there too, they were just taking the picture.)

Platte with a bunch of law school friends at a farewell BBQ.

Adam and Kristina.

Belle and Olivia just waiting for Adam and Kristina to come out of the temple.

When you ask Belle to smile, this is what she does. Platte sure thinks it is funny that he taught her that. :)

Whitney, Belle and Olivia playing with bubbles.

Learning to blow bubbles in the water.

Belle on the little boat ride at Lagoon.

Not so sure about Bulgy the Whale.

A Post at Last!

Many exciting things have happened to us lately. Platte got an offer to work at the University of Utah's Office of General Counsel (which he accepted). Because of this, we are officially moving back to Utah after Platte's graduation in May. But the most exciting thing is that our little family of three is about to get bigger. Heather is due October 2nd! We are thrilled!

Most of the pictures below are from our Spring Break trip to Utah. The original reason for our trip was so that we could run the races in Moab with my family. Platte ran the half marathon with my brother Adam and my Dad. I was supposed to run the 5-Mile race with my Mom and Adam's fiancee, Kristina, but due to Baby #2 I didn't run (unfortunately I've been A LOT more sick this go around than with Belle). My sister-in-law Andrea stepped right in though and ran the race as "Heather Nielson from Mesa, Arizona," at least that is what they announced when she crossed the finish line. :)

Another highlight of our trip was watching my little sister Amanda perform in her high school musical, Cats. As always, I loved the show. Platte even enjoyed it.

We had so much fun spending time with family and watching Belle and Olivia learn how to play with each other. Although they had a hard time figuring out how to play together, I think they had a good time overall. Their playtime definitely made for some good laughs!

My Easter Babe. My sister Whitney made her this adorable dress!

Seeing Grandma and Grandpa for the first time in a while.

It was so funny watching Belle and Olivia play together. Belle is a bit bigger and would just sit in the car and read. Olivia wanted to play in the car too and would climb all over Belle. After quite a few tears, they ended up playing well together. So cute!

Daniel is already teaching the girls how to play the organ.

Visiting Whitney at BYU and playing with the ducks.

The first family picture taken in a LONG time.

Amanda as a Cat.

Platte right before he crossed the half marathon finish line.

All the runners after their races.

Waiting for the runners to come in.

Belle's Second Christmas

Here are some pictures from our holiday in Utah. Most of them are of Belle, because I just plain forgot to take pictures of all the festivities. We had so much fun hanging out with our families, going to movies, watching Belle play in the snow for the first time, watching football, and celebrating Christmas.
