Belle's First Smile

After many weeks of dry expression, Belle finally smiled. I noticed that some of her little pants might now actually fit her so I decided to try them on. Lo and behold they fit! So I had to go a little further to finish the outfit. With a bow in her hair and socks on her feet I put on her first pair of shoes...and then it happened. Her first smile. Let's hope she doesn't already have a love for shoes! Until we can capture the evidence on camera you'll just have to trust that our story is true.
Belle looking cute in pants and shoes!
Look at those cheeks!
At a local sports grill watching college football!! Belle is sure to be a sports fan with all the games she has watched!
Platte thinks this bow is a little too much, but us girls like it!
Hmmm
As you can tell, Belle doesn't like to pull her pants as high as Grandpa Nielson used to!

The big bow it perfect. That's funny that Platte didn't like it. When I first glanced at the picture, my first thought was, "What a cute bow!" She's a beautiful baby!

I'm with Platte. The bow is ridiculously huge. But us guys need to get used to the fact that when it comes to a Mom and her new baby daughter, our votes about style and dress don't really matter! :)

Heather, you look amazing! You're a natural mom! :) Belle is definitely getting bigger and she is so cute! Just for the record, I liked the big bow. I can't wait to see all of you over Thanksgiving!

cute, cute, cute! Look out - if she likes shoes you're in trouble! Kate and Liz both LOVE shoes and shopping for them can get crazy...and expensive! But what mother doesn't wish for girls that love to shop for shoes! Add lunch and you've got yourself a great shopping day! Call me later and let me know how she's sleeping!

Heather- sorry, I just realized I hadn't responded to your comment on my blog. We're still here in Provo- Trev is graduating next month, then starting a masters here in January. So we have about a year and a half left. I taught choir at a middle school here for a few years, and Cassie was born less than a week after school got out this summer! I'm staying home with her now and loving it too. :) Hooray for being a mommy!
